Dr. Kathleen Stokes is a pediatric specialist in Frisco, TX and has affiliations with multiple hospitals in the area, including Baylor Scott and White Medical Center–Frisco and Children's Medical Center Dallas.
As a young girl, she was ambitious about pursuing a career in medicine. Being the top student she was, she gained admission into Georgetown University in Washington, DC, completed her undergraduate educated and earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her exceptional talents and intelligence led her to attend medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. After medical school, she decided to
continue her education because her passion for learning and medicine kept her motivated. She completed her graduate education from Yale University in New Haven, CT and Columbia University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in New York, earning a Master of Science in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology. Her residency was completed at the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, Newark, NJ, and the New York Hospital at the Cornell Medical Center in New York, allowing her to become certified in the career of her dreams: Pediatrics.Dr. Stokes has over 21 years of experience working with children. She loves her job so much that she never wants to retire. She has a membership in the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Texas Medical Association, and Dallas County Medical Society and keeps up to date with her certification and modern medical topic and practices.On a personal level, Dr. Stokes and her husband reside in Plano. They have three grown children and five grandchildren. In her free time, Dr. Stokes enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, and reading anything medical she can get her hands on!
