This week was so hectic, I made the silliest mistakes...

Something exciting occurred this week. I was able to schedule a third informational interview with Dr. Kathleen Stokes, a pediatrician at Frisco Pediatrics. I did not expect to receive any calls from professionals, so her call back was a pleasant surprise. We are scheduled to meet this coming Wednesday, so my fingers are crossed that the interview will be very successful.
Because this week was a busy week, my mind was all over the place. There was so much work due for my AP classes, I had to take multiple quizzes and tests in one day, and extra band rehearsals had me awake late at night because we had our UIL contest this Saturday. In the midst of all the chaos, I suddenly fell sick with a fever, cold, headache and vomiting. However, I made sure I was okay before I went to the Children's Hospital in Dallas for an informational interview with Dr. Faisal Qureshi. When I arrived, I could not stop looking around because the hospital was huge and so well decorated. I was quickly disappointed when I found out that not only had I arrived at the interview thirty minutes early, but I was ONE WEEK and thirty minutes early. I was so embarrassed when Dr. Qureshi's secretary, I believe, had informed me that there was some misunderstanding because our interview was next week. After checking my email, I realized that I was at fault for noting the date incorrectly. Although she complimented me on how great I looked, I did not feel any less embarrassed because I not only showed up to an interview way ahead of time, but I also made my parents drive me all the way from Frisco to Dallas. The biggest lesson learned: ALWAYS triple check important information.
