WORK IT OUT

It's time to buckle down and really work on the things that need to get done...

Final presentation night is May 3rd. My final product is due April 30th. If I'm completely honest with myself, senioritis is starting to take over and causing me to fall behind on my final product. Realizing this mistake and the sense of urgency, I'm now stepping on the gas pedal so I can finish my final product on time. This weekend, my goal is to lay out my story so that we can begin printing the pages and creating the illustrations. From some research, we have decided to create the book by hand because using online tools will take much longer. And with only a month left, we aren't sure if any publisher will take up our book and publish it. We will at least make the book, get it bound, and have a physical copy to keep at my mentor's place. Of course, we will keep trying to work with publishers to see if we can get the book published over the summer.

Since I have been busy with college tours, I have not gone to my mentor's place in the last two weeks, but I will be going this week. I have a lot of questions to ask my mentor about my final product and seek her opinion on the book's story and the scientific information that I'm including.
